Inner November 2022-2025 After moving to Britain, I needed to find a place where I could be alone with myself. After February 2022, that need became sharper. I drove north, with no plan and no expectations. Where the mountains meet the sea, I found a place that spoke to something inside me. I photographed intuitively, following what resonated. Not specific places or events, but a state of being: silence, remoteness, presence.
For four years I came back every October. Over time the process became less about shooting and more about watching and being there. In 2025 I felt the work was complete. The result is Inner November, an artist book made as a single object. It brings together the key images of this project.
The series presented here exists alongside the book. These are photographs that didn’t make it into the edition. They don’t repeat it, but they extend its space. This project doesn’t document places. It’s about inner states: silence, tension, waiting.
