Inner November
For four years I travelled each October, looking for places where I could spend time on my own with a camera. Those journeys gradually became a recurring part of my practice. The project began while I was trying to find my bearings in a new country. Over four years, I returned each October to photograph places where I felt I could stay for a while. Those photographs gradually became Inner November.
From choosing the paper to printing and binding, every decision became a continuation of the photographs. Rather than simply presenting the work, the book was conceived as an object in which image, material and sequence exist together.

Emptiness
Unpublished artist’s dummy. Emptiness brings together photographs made between 2019 and 2021 while travelling through remote villages across Ukraine. The project remained unfinished. There were plans to continue photographing across the country, but the full-scale invasion changed both the places and the meaning of the work. Returning no longer felt possible. Rather than waiting for a complete project, I chose to make a single handmade book. It exists as the only physical form of Emptiness an unpublished artist’s dummy printed and bound by hand.
