About

Taras Perevarukha is a Ukrainian photographer working with images and states, focusing on the quiet presence of everyday moments. His photographs create a connection between inner experience and the surrounding space.

He was born in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, where he began photographing. In 2014, due to the war, he was forced to relocate to Kyiv. This experience shaped his approach to photography, based on careful observation and attention to place.
Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Taras worked on the project Emptiness, photographing life in Ukrainian villages, while also developing other projects focused on stillness, pauses, and simple forms of presence.
A later relocation, this time to the United Kingdom, further influenced his perception of space, distance, and time. Movement and change have become part of both his life and photographic practice.

Now based in the United Kingdom, Taras continues to work primarily on personal projects. His photographs are built around observation and restraint, allowing meaning to emerge without direct explanation.

Each photograph creates a pause, inviting the viewer to stay alone with the image.
